I’m a native Chicagoan, a parent, a sometimes traveler and a Psychotherapist. My areas of specialized focus include perinatal mental health, anxiety, depression, grief and life transitions.

My educational background includes graduate practicum in the Psychiatric Inpatient and Intensive Outpatient Programs at Presence St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago, as well as professional training in:

ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy)

CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)

Motivational Interviewing

Trauma-Informed Therapy

Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders

Grief Theory

My clinical experience includes work with the homeless population, the perinatal population, and the geriatric population. My professional experience includes grief (in many of its infinite forms), ambivalence about pregnancy and/or parenthood, working with personal and professional caregivers (eg medical professionals, other therapists, family caregivers), pregnancy loss and termination, traumatic birth, matrescence and the transition to parenthood, which I personally found more jarring than a carnival ride on the moon. Now I’m raising my children in the same city - but a totally different world - from the one I grew up in.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). My Master’s Degree is in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Health Psychology from The Chicago School. I’m currently a member of Postpartum Support International and the American Counseling Association.
